GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE OF THE FCFA WEBSITE

The purpose of these General Terms and Conditions is to define the terms and conditions of use of this website.

You agree to use the website in accordance with the regulations in force, public order and good morals, and to comply with these general conditions of use.

1. Subject

The FCFA website presents the activities of the Franco-American Cultural Fund (FCFA).

Created in 1996 at the initiative of Sacem, the FCFA is a unique collaboration between the Société des Auteurs, Compositeurs, et Editeurs de musique (Sacem), and the two American guilds, the Directors Guild of America (DGA) and the Motion Picture Association (MPA), later joined by the Writers Guild of America West (WGAW). The FCFA is financed by resources from private copying tax in France. Its mission is to foster cultural exchange between France and the United States, based on a shared passion for film and television creation.

The FCFA promotes French films, encourages links with American distributors and facilitates access to the North American market for numerous French filmmakers and producers.

2. Intellectual property rights

All content (text, video, sound, images, photos, software, logos, etc.) published on the FCFA website is protected in accordance with the provisions of French law and international conventions relating to Intellectual Property.

Subject to the provisions of articles L.122-5, L.211-3 and L.342-3 of the French Intellectual Property Code, any reproduction and/or communication to the public of all or part of this content is subject to authorization. 

In addition, any unauthorized reproduction of trademarks and logos on this site constitutes a counterfeiting act punishable by law. The offender is liable to civil and criminal prosecutions, and in particular to the sentences stipulated in articles L. 335-2, L. 343-1 and L716-10 of the French Intellectual Property Code.

3. Personal data

Personal data is any information that makes it possible to identify you as an individual, either directly (e.g. your surname, first name, etc.) or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier (e.g. your credentials, etc.).

The English translation is provided for information purposes only. In the event of dispute, the French version shall prevail.
